'Jersey Shore' Star Snooki in Labor With First Child Aug 26th 2012, 00:52 MTV star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is currently in labor with her first child with fiancé Jionni LaValle. A source close to the Jersey Shore and Snooki & JWoww star confirms to Celebuzz that the 24-year-old is at a New Jersey hospital, as first reported by TMZ. The couple are having a boy who they have said they’re naming Lorenzo LaValle. Polizzi and LaValle announced her pregnancy and engagement in March in a splashy US Weekly cover story in March. Snooki and other Pregnant Celebs in heels 9 Photos » “I have different priorities now,” the star told the magazine. “I don’t care what anybody else thinks. As long as I know I’m ready and he’s ready.” LaValle, also 24-years-old, added, “We are not going to screw this up.” The couple met about two years ago during the third season of Jersey Shore. The pint-sized mom-to-be found out she was pregnant on New Year’s Eve earlier this year. Ari Graynor Shouts Out 'Bridesmaids' For Changing The Chick Flick Game Aug 24th 2012, 21:30 The silly, raunchy, heart-felt chick flick "For A Good Time, Call..." opens next week, and really it's just the latest film in a wave of movies and TV shows that have women as the lead jokester. While women have been relegated to the world frothy romantic comedies in the last decade, these projects are ones that highlights the realness of friendship, love and career. [ video unavailable on this device ] Viewers love that vibe, and "Good Time" star Ari Graynor credits the Kristen Wiig vehicle, "Bridesmaids," for reminding watchers that women are really, really funny when they are at their best, and their worst. "You know I think we find ourselves just at an interesting moment where more light is being shed on these kinds of films that are being made," she explained to MTV News. "I think you know, first of all, there was this kind of heyday of female comedy in the 80's that we grew up watching and this is sort of a nostalgia film of sort of that time of the movies with Goldie Hawn and Shelley Long and Bette Midler, Lily Tomlin and they stopped making these [films] with these women with gumption and character and personality." "It got sort of bogged down in more basic, flat romantic comedy lines," she explained. "Don't get me wrong, I love a good old-fashioned romantic comedy," she added. "And I think with 'Bridesmaids' it did so well and it just let people know there is a space in the marketplace for this that women, and not only women but men as well, are open to seeing ladies be funny." Graynor is quick to note that she hopes that the conversation doesn't get too bogged down in gender politics and stays focused on the funny. "And hopefully it doesn't have to be a gender-specific comedy," she explained. "I think and hope with our film that it's funny is funny. And you know women are doing it, but it doesn't just have to be for women either because 'Bridesmaids' did so well it shed the light on us coming in at this time. Hopefully we can kind of ride the coattails of saying 'Yeah, come see more funny movies with women in them.' Ashley strutted her stuff in a long, silky, fuchsia dress with a pair of nude peep toe pumps, but her toes weren't the only thing peeping. The actress was showing a little bit—or a lot a bit—of leg with a sexy slit all the way up her to her thigh. Sporting a large sapphire ring, the gorgeous star didn't go over the top with accessories. The dress showing off Ashley's amazing figure was more than enough to keep everyone's eyes glued to her. "Friday the 13th" star Julianna Guill is back in the horror film game playing a student researcher who helps unleash the evil spirit in "The Apparition." At the premiere, Julianna also went with the nude peep toe pumps, and decided to keep all of her legs in a short navy blue dress with a high neckline. Director Todd Lincoln arrived at the event in a black and blue plaid shirt with a leather jacket. Did he ride his Harley to the premiere or was he expecting the theater to be a little chilly?
