He's played an alien on the run, a "Beastly" hot mess and a stripper on the party circuit, but we were still surprised to hear that Alex Pettyfer is the type of "freaky" character that Kristen Stewart had in mind for her next big movie. But according to the latest casting gossip, he's quite the desirable weirdo!
Variety has the scoop that the sexy Brit is in final negotiations to star in "Cali" opposite Kristen, who's making her first outing as both an actor and producer with a film that she described to MTV News as "extremely violent...extremely funny, extremely emotional."
The movie centers on a couple (played by Kristen and Alex) who sell a fake snuff film and then start new lives with the resulting cash—only to get stymied when Kristen's supposed-to-be-dead character has to return to the scene of the crime in order to rescue her sister. Dang! Don't you hate when that happens?
"Hopefully after all of this we can go and... get together really weird, freaky actor people," KStew told us back in May, as she wound down promotion for "Snow White and the Huntsman." And while Alex is probably the least weird of the personalities appearing on screen (he'll spend the movie being antagonized by, among others, homicidal porn stars and a murderous cowboy), no doubt this will be another great chance to let his freak flag fly...and after "Magic Mike," there's little doubt that his freak flag is very large, indeed.
