New Series 'The Baby Wait' Explores The Complexities Of Adoption
Aug 16th 2012, 17:50

Ever since Catelynn and Tyler of "Teen Mom" decided to form an adoption plan for their daughter, Carly, we've gotten an inside look at the guilt and regret the process can cause some birth parents. But what if--for all the times the young couple wished they could have taken back their choice--they just...well...did? From the same producers as "Teen Mom" and "16 and Pregnant" comes a new Logo show, "The Baby Wait," which explores the very real possibility that parenthood can end just as quickly as it started for adoptive parents if the child's birth mother changes her mind.

"Wait" will air six different stories surrounding the potential pitfalls of the adoption process. In the show's trailer, longtime couple Mark and Paul are thrilled when 18-year-old Genavieve chooses them as her baby's adoptive parents, but are then forced to cope with the fact that Genavieve has 30 days to reclaim custody. Connecticut law says birth parents who choose adoption have a month to reconsider their decision, and while Mark and Paul are more than capable as dads, they can't escape the fact that they could easily be childless again in a matter of days.

+ Check out the risk some adoptive parents face in the video below, tune in for the show's premiere on October 30 at 10/9c or catch the entire first episode right now on LogoTV.com.
