That's What You Said...About The Burst Of 'Challenge' Rookies On 'Battle Of The Seasons'
Aug 24th 2012, 16:59

Every Friday we thumb through your comments from the most talked-about post of the week--check out the latest That's What You Said topic below and make sure to share your own opinion!

With our announcement that MTV's next installment of "The Challenge" was on its way shortly came some startling information: JohnnyPaula and most of the other tried-and-true vets were left off the roster. The new teams of green players took many fans of the show by surprise, and whether they were thrilled or let down, they certainly had a bunch to say.

After Johnny, Frank and other Challengers both old and new took to Twitter for some sh**-talking, viewers weighed in on whether they preferred to watch familiar faces competing or were excited for the shake-up. Take a look at some noteworthy comments posted to Remote Control and Facebook:

Remote Control:
"I am so excited for this 'Challenge!' Fresh faces, new dynamics and unpredictability! Jeez, Johnny, you won the last two, let someone else win! Next season needs to be Rookies vs. Vets so that the rookies can humble these trash-talkers." -- mo0ona

"I watch for the familiar faces. I love the 'Challenge,' but don't watch 'Real World' anymore. I don't mind rookies, but if you want me to care, you've gotta give me someone to care about." -- Nikki

"I like this cast a lot--it's not predicable. All of them look more entertaining than the veterans." -- Frank

Facebook:
"I'm glad the season won't be as predictable as it has been for the past few seasons--the same alliances, the same people, the same winners... I'm glad we get to see faces we haven't seen since 'Real World.'" -- Timothy H.

"We watch to see our favorite people come back again and again because we like to see them. Keeping the majority of the favorite players is what sets "The Challenge" apart from every other cookie-cutter reality contest." -- Daniel D.

"I'm glad some of the vets aren't coming back (mainly ones like Kenny and Johnny--they've won enough), but bring back some vets like CoralVeronica and Rachel. You know, vets who haven't won every other challenge." -- Sheena H.

+ What say you? Are you excited to see what this fresh crop of competitors can pull off, or will you miss the likes of Bananas and Walnuts? Let's keep the conversation going!
