If we had to choose a favorite season of "Jersey Shore," its first would hands-down be the answer. Not because it featured the most drama or hookups or ridiculous catch phrases, but because we'd never seen anything like it before. Sure, those of us who grew up on the East Coast had met (or actually were) "guidos" and had frequented our fair share of Karmas, but the people casted for this new show were one of a kind. "Snooki?" "The Situation?" It was like watching a National Geographic special.
Despite their made-up nicknames, everything about these eight housemates was authentic. Well, authentically inauthentic, meaning their skin color, eyelashes and pleather "underwears." The series was what reality TV was originally intended to be: real. Nothing was staged, no one was acting, and because of that, the world gleefully got on board.
With MTV announcing the end of "Jersey Shore" as we know it, Remote Control is rolling out video clips of what we consider to be the most defining moments of each season. Below, check out the 5 scenes we chose for Season 1, then vote in the poll which one YOU think stood out the most. We'll be posting 5 videos from each season per day to ultimately determine--as decided by the fans--which moment best defined the entire series.
