One of the best things about doing our MTV First interviews with the cast of upcoming films is the moment when we open up the floor to you—yes, you!—with the great fan-submitted questions that come to us via the intertubes. And when Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller sat down to talk about "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," the first question that came from Twitter was a great one: Which was the most difficult scene to play?
At first, we didn't get an answer so much as a delightful display of camaraderie from the cast, as Ezra turned to his couch-mates and said, "Remember when we were doing the last scene in the diner? And for some reason, we were all tired and we just didn't feel right..."—a question that quickly devolved into all three actors chattering over each other like a group of real-life BFFs. Um, guys? This is adorable, but please! Focus!
Fortunately, Emma came through with a thoughtful response:
"When I read our first kiss scene, it's so epic, it's the most beautiful scene I've ever seen written on a page," she said. (The "our" in question is Emma and Logan, by the way.) "I was like, oof, we're really going to have to kill this one."
What made the scene so tricky? Said Emma, "It's so emotional, and we're both so vulnerable in it." But, she added, she didn't feel at all vulnerable about the actor she'd be playing opposite: "I was like, I get to do it with Logan, and he makes me feel so safe!"
And say it with us now: AWWWWW. Did you awwww? We totally awwwed.
Would you feel vulnerable about kissing Logan Lerman?
