We mostly rely on the cast of "Glee" to give us (heh) aural pleasure, but last night's season four premiere party offered up a lot of lovely things to look at too! The girls and guys of McKinley High walked their red carpet in a range of styles as diverse as they are, with looks that ranged from fun to funky to fabulously glam.
In that last category: Lea Michele, who was the most formal of the bunch in a long-sleeved, floor-length gown with a deep V neckline and lace-lined cutouts on the bodice and back—further evidence that the gothic look is a big thing this fall. And Lea enjoyed a high-contrast embrace with Kate Hudson, who traded her usual casual glamour for '80s-inspired menswear: a boxy white jacket with black lapels, white tuxedo pants with a black stripe and a pretty camisole that softened the look with lace.
The rest of the colorful cast wasn't about to stick to strict black-and-white: Jenna Ushkowitz sported a shimmery minidress striped in shades of teal and coral, while Heather Morris was beautiful in baby blue (albeit slightly off-balance in some sky-high suede sneaker boots). And while most of the men of "Glee" opted for basic black or subdued shades of gray, Josh Sussman (a.k.a Jacob Ben Israel) went loud and proud in a yellow bow tie, bright blue shirt and plaid sportcoat that didn't match anything.
The big surprise of the night? Newcomer Melissa Benoist, who initially seemed like she'd gone with an all-black ensemble...until a closer look revealed that her leather peplum top and skinny trousers were actually paired with shoes in a deep, rich shade of navy. Sneaky! And stylish, too.
Which of the outfits from last night's premiere were your fave? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!
