When Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi announced she was pregnant, critics were skeptical of the fist-pumping party girl’s mothering abilities. After all, this was the same self-proclaimed guidette who said she was addicted to “bronzer, boys, and alcohol” on MTV’s Jersey Shore.
Nonetheless, it looks like Snooki and her mini-meatball are doing just fine. In fact, the MTV reality star revealed she couldn’t be happier after her and fiancé Jionni LaValle welcomed son Lorenzo Dominic in August.
On Thursday night’s all-new Jersey Shore After Hours, baby Lorenzo makes his television debut in an emotional pre-taped segment. “I’ve always wanted a kid,” Snooki cries. “And he’s here, and he’s healthy, and he’s beautiful. I love him. He’s perfect.”
What do her Jersey Shore castmates have to say?
"She's a great mother," Vinny Guadagnino recently told Celebuzz at the show's Season 6 premiere party in New York City. "She totally turned her life around. And the baby is adorable."
"She is awesome [and] rocks as a mother," chimed in Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola. "It just came naturally to her," added Deena Nicole Cortese. "She's doing great as a mother… and Jionni's an awesome dad."
Also calling the baby “adorable” was
Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio. "He came out with a full set of hair, tan and everything,” he said. “[Snooki] is a really caring person so… she will be a great mother."
As for Snooki’s best friend, Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, she still can’t believe how happy the reality star and her mini-meatball are. ”I mean, it's Snooki from the Jersey Shore," she marveled. "And now she's one of the best mothers I have ever gotten to meet… She is beautiful, she's healthy."
