Just yesterday, "Beautiful Creatures" director Richard LaGravenese raved about the talented young cast he's assembled for the big-screen adaptation of Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl's Southern gothic novel. And today, stars Emmy Rossum and Thomas Mann are proving just how true those words are by divulging their totally method preparation for the project.
In the supernatural saga due out February 13, 2013, Emmy plays a seductive siren who uses her wiles to woo mere mortal Link, played by Thomas. Which isn't a task that takes all that much talent—he's a teenage boy, after all. But that's beside the point.
When we caught up with the pair at Comic-Con, they spilled a story about the not-so-romantic, getting-to-know-each-other date they took, walking alongside the Mississippi River. Sure, it sounds like all hearts and stars and candy kisses...but that before Emmy and Thomas were joined by a dozen unwanted, twitchy-nosed guests.
Click play on the clip above to hear all about their rat-infested rendezvous!
(P.S. Emmy and Thomas are joking about being engaged. Yeah, you probably knew that, but y'know how these things can spiral... We don't want to be responsible!)
