It looks like McKinely High's resident gossip blogger Jacob Ben Israel has been scooped by TVLine's Michael Ausiello!
Former "American Idol" contestant Jessica Sanchez, who this summer had been rumored to be in talks for a role on "Glee," has closed a deal for a recurring role, according to the entertainment website. No word yet on who the 16-year-old will play, so kick those speculation senses (the oft-forgotten second cousin to spidey senses) into high gear!
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter had a bit of news regarding another potential guest star, and let's just say she could be the wind beneath the Fox series' wings. It's iconic singer/actress Bette Midler, whom Ryan Murphy extended an offer to during Monday's God's Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards ceremony. Long story short, she said yes and later tweeted that perhaps she could play Rachel's grandmother (an option we would happily co-sign!).
Your turn, Crushers! What role do you think Jessica could play? Are you feeling Bette Midler as Rachel's grandmother? Tell us everything in the comments and on Twitter!
