Between the recently released track list and an enthusiastic endorsement from featured artist Ellie Goulding, there's no doubt that the nearly here "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" soundtrack is going to be a perfect fit for the final chapter of our favorite vampire romance—and that's even more impressive considering the inside scoop on songwriting for soundtracks that we got from the fine fellows of Passion Pit. Check it: When we caught up with Nate Donmoyer and Michael Angelakos to ask about their contribution to the music of "Breaking Dawn." Michael revealed that not only did they have to create a song just for the movie, but they had to do it sight unseen.
"You write the song before seeing the film, they don't allow you to see the film," he explained. Which makes it even more amazing that Passion Pit's track, "Where I Come From," is (apparently) eerily perfect for the movie; as Michael said, "I wrote a song about my own experiences, and it just so happened to correlate."
Which, absent any proof to the contrary, we assume means that Michael fell in love with a vampire, was impregnated with a half-breed beast baby on his honeymoon, became a member of the sexy-sparkly undead after a traumatic birth experience and recently fought a battle of wits against the angry Volturi to save the life of his vampire child. Obviously.
