The original concept for the Motown hit, "Dancing in the Street," was inspired by the sight of people cooling off in the summer with water spraying from fire hydrants, and its words were meant to convey that anyone could have a good time anywhere (or so says Wikipedia). With that back story in mind, you could say that Deena's simply carrying forth the message in the below sneak peek of Thursday's "Jersey Shore"; however, we highly doubt the song's writer, Marvin Gaye, ever envisioned police dragging away an intoxicated meatball whilst following his lyrical instruction.
"BUSTED!" Ronnie exclaims in the clip after witnessing his roommate get cuffed and stuffed into a cop car for ignoring their calls to quit shaking her groove thang amid oncoming traffic. The arrest is hardly surprising given the fact that the guidette is bombed out of her tree and causing quite the public disturbance, but that doesn't make her reaction any less amusing: "I don't want to be in trouble!" she sobs before getting hauled off to the drunk tank.
