"Awkward" fans have been out of their minds over last Thursday's intense episode (Matty? Jake? Mom?!?), yet we've been interested in something even bigger than Jenna's love triangle: that open sore on Sadie's lip.
While the school bully bopped around from class to class in various makeshift turtlenecks hiding a "stress zit," our adorably dumb daisy of a girl Lissa used her noggin to point out that Sadie's crater might not be a simple pimple. Ricky Schwartz appeared to have bestowed upon his darling the horrific life-long gift of a kiss blister! Official medical terminology: HERPES.
Aaaahhh! While Sadie went into full panic-mode after overhearing a bathroom stall discussion about her BF's sexual status, she was relieved to find out she got an F on the STD test. But you know who's not relieved? Us, because we don't mean to get all Nancy Drew up in this shiz, but we think Lissa's got something serious hiding
up her sleeve.
Sure, there's a chance Lissa answered the doc's call, heard everything was A-OK and relayed the message correctly, but something about her demeanor seemed so suspicious. Sadie's made her best bud's life an ongoing woe-fest, so could this be part of a master plan devised by the bright-eyed blondie to deliver payback for years of relentless torment? When you take into account that the entire school has been under a Hamilton spell--including The Julies--could it be possible that while everyone's choosing sides (Team Jake or Team Matty), Lissa's most concerned with joining Team Jenna...and taking down Sadie? Call us conspiracy theorists, but we really think/hope the ditsy sweetheart is plotting something, starting with a secret STD diagnosis.
