"Twilight" star Robert Pattinson has made a name for himself outside of the film franchise thanks to leading-man roles in movies like "Water for Elephants" and "Cosmopolis," so it's rather curious that the 26-year-old's latest project will place him firmly in the supporting-actor category.
The news broke yesterday that Rob will co-star with Carey Mulligan in the film "Hold Onto Me," based on a true story of a "femme fatale," who along with her boyfriend, kidnaps the richest man in town and holds him for ransom. Rob will play Carey's former flame, Jimmy, who is not involved in the crime.
Though the part isn't as meaty as the Brit may be used to, it could be a boon to his career, nonetheless. (You know what they say about small parts and small actors!)
