MTV star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is currently in labor with her first child with fiancé Jionni LaValle.
A source close to the Jersey Shore and Snooki & JWoww star confirms to Celebuzz that the 24-year-old is at a New Jersey hospital, as first reported by TMZ. The couple are having a boy who they have said they’re naming Lorenzo LaValle.
Polizzi and LaValle announced her pregnancy and engagement in March in a splashy US Weekly cover story in March.
“I have different priorities now,” the star told the magazine. “I don’t care what anybody else thinks. As long as I know I’m ready and he’s ready.”
LaValle, also 24-years-old, added, “We are not going to screw this up.”
The couple met about two years ago during the third season of Jersey Shore. The pint-sized mom-to-be found out she was pregnant on New Year’s Eve earlier this year. LaValle proposed to his pregnant girlfriend two months later on Valentine’s Day when he gave her a 5-carat diamond ring.
Fans have been able to watch Snooki deal with the early days of her pregnancy on her MTV spinoff, Snooki & JWoww, which is currently airing. And they’ll be able to see that experience continue on the upcoming sixth season of Jersey Shore premiering Thursday, Oct. 4 at 10 PM.
