If "Jersey Shore"'s Season 3 return to Seaside Heights was about drawing lines in the sand, Season 5's post-Italy homecoming meant letting the ocean waves wipe them clean. In a completely unprecedented (and a little bit disorienting) change of pace, the show's fifth go-around was about coming together as a family, and if Sammi and JWOWW proved their fences could be mended, it became possible for even the worst enemies to see eye-to-eye...
...that is, except for Snooki and "The Situation," who took their third summer in Seaside as an opportunity to continue the he-said/she-said back-and-forth over whether they actually hooked up while Nicole was in a relationship with Jionni. And while things were relatively peaceful between the rest of the housemates, Vinny decided he could no longer suffer in silence, and opened up about his battle with anxiety for the first time.
