Emma Thompson: 'Beautiful Creatures' Is 'An Intelligently Told, Very Funny Story' Aug 9th 2012, 21:30 This spring, MTV News was lucky enough to conjure up an exclusive visit to the set of the big-screen adaptation of Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl's novel "Beautiful Creatures," where we got all kinds of inside dish from young stars Alice Englert, Alden Ehrenreich, Thomas Mann and Zoey Deutch. But one cast member we didn't get to lay our caster-loving eyes on was Emma Thompson, who plays the dual role of Mrs. Lincoln and Serafina. Well, our friends over at NextMovie caught up with the iconic actress recently, who had plenty of praise for the supernatural screenplay. "I thought the script was funny and witty and very much an intelligently-told, very fun story," she said. "And the part was one of the most interesting I've been asked to play in a long time."
