Everyone's got a friend like Neil Sutherland: someone with a huge heart and winning smile, but no chance in hell of ever being recruited by the National Honor Society. This long-haired connoisseur of all things good time-related is one-fourth of "The Inbetweeners," and when the new MTV series premieres on August 20 at 10:30/9:30c, actor Mark L. Young hopes viewers will latch onto Neil's good vibes.
"He comes across as the one who's dim, and maybe not the smartest...but I think he has an idea of what's going on," Mark says of his character in the video interview below. Sure, Neil has the potential to get lost in a revolving door, but he's a simple guy, and his complete lack of pretense is one of the most endearing qualities he and his friends have at their disposal. Since Prom Court will likely remain a pipe dream for Neil and his three off-beat amigos, Mark's glad to rep for the boys with no shot at popularity. "At the end of the day, they're just vulnerable kids trying to get by," he says.
