Back-to-school season won't kick in for many until early September, but the report cards for this week's red-carpet fashion are in! And two of our most favorite style students are getting graded in this week's spotlight. Who got a Style Superstar-worthy A-plus? And whose GPA just took an unfortunate plunge when she failed to learn the material? Check it.
This week's winner? It's Holland Roden, our very own "Teen Wolf" star and a first-time champ of the style circuit! The petite actress looked sweet but sophisticated in a perfect party dress from BCBG, with a short flouncy skirt and pretty lace overlay—flirty and feminine, but in a deep cerulean hue and with elegant sleeves that kept the look safely out of "twee" territory. Add some leg-lengthening nude sandals and a pop of pink with her clutch (a nod to the party's dedication to breast cancer awareness), and you've got yourself a superstar.
Meanwhile, Miranda Cosgrove showed her fashion sense earlier this summer with a glam robot-couture look we loved, but her two-piece ensemble at the CBS Teachers Rock concert failed to make the grade. The shapeless tartan top and leather skirt combo look just a little too Hot Topic for someone who's stunned us with her creative style—and her classy slingback stilettos are a giveaway that she's got the hidden potential to put together a better look.
